Protect Your Well, Safeguard Your Garden, and Earn Cash Back

The Harpswell Invasive Plant Partnership (HIPP) is launching a new rain barrel rebate program to promote local water conservation. By harvesting rainwater, residents can protect their wells during dry spells and prevent drought-loving invasive plants from taking over native gardens.
To help our community get started, HIPP is offering a $25 rebate to the first 20 Harpswell residents who install a rain barrel this season.

What to Do and How to Do It

Finding and installing a rain barrel is simple. While HIPP does not endorse any specific retailer, the following local stores offer excellent options to fit your home’s needs:

Once you have purchased your barrel, setup is straightforward. You may find this quick YouTube tutorial video helpful during the installation process to assist with downspout alignment, leveling, and maximizing water pressure.
