Our partnership is scheduling opportunities for volunteers to learn more about invasive plants while helping the crew with their controls. Please consider pitching on any (or all!) of these upcoming events:

Tuesday, May 16 at Curtis Farm Preserve (1554 Harpswell Neck Road, Harpswell): 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Saturday, May 27 at Johnson Field Preserve (25 Abner Point Road, Bailey Island–Mackerel Cove): 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Monday, June 5 at Houghton Graves Park, (1714 Harpswell Islands Road, Orr’s Island): 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Each event will begin with an introduction to the plants we are planning to attack. Stay for the entire event or just for the tutorial session. Water, gloves and insect repellant are always recommended. We have tools, or bring your favorite pruners and loppers.
