More than a dozen volunteers were on site at Curtis Farm Preserve. The goal: clear the old farm foundation for future accessibility of preserve visitors. Mission accomplished! The shrub honeysuckle, multiflora rose and asiatic bittersweet were no match for the pruners, loppers and saws wielded by our volunteers.
While more invasive plants remain for another work session, the stone foundation is now visible, and will become a feature of the preserve.
