Understanding the Impact of Invasive Plants

Protecting Our Natural Environment

The Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) shared a new video mini-documentary on the significance of invasive plant management efforts with a focus on Little Whaleboat Island just off of Harpswell Neck.  MCHT shares Harpswell Heritage Land Trust’s (HHLT) and Harpswell Invasive Plant Partnership’s (HIPP) commitment to the care of our natural ecosystems.

About Harpswell Invasive Plant Partnership

The Harpswell Invasive Plant Partnership (HIPP) is dedicated to reducing the impact of invasive plant species on local ecosystems. Our collaboration with the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust and other partners focuses on education, habitat improvement, and community involvement.

Founded with a mission to protect and restore native habitats, HIPP engages with the community through HHLT preserve workdays, volunteer opportunities, and educational initiatives. Our goal is to foster a sustainable environment where native species can thrive.
